This innovative 1 day course is designed to provide those on site who have responsibility for managing and supervising temporary works with the essential knowledge to deliver on this often contentious area of construction activity. It is also suitable for builders and specialist contractors, utilities, civil engineering contractors, supervisors, graduates and site engineers wishing to refresh their knowledge for undertaking the Temporary Works Coordinator role.
The course is based on Section 2 Procedural control of temporary works of BS 5975:2019 and includes an in depth review of current legislation, relevant codes of practice and available best practice guidance in the industry. Detailed, well designed course handouts are issued to delegates, however structural calculations do not form part of the program. The program will not make the learner competent unless they have the previous skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role. It is intended that the program will provide the learner with the technical training required to support them in the role.
This is a one day programme delivered over one day.
Full attendance of the 1 day course is required.
There is an examination at the end of the course which consists of 20 multiple choice questions, all of which are based on the course content delivered over the day. This is an open book examination.

Attendees will have to complete and online exam comprising of multiple choice questions. The duration of the exam is 30 minutes.
On successful completion candidates will be awarded: CBR City & Guilds Temporary Works Coordinator Refresher Certificate.
Exam re-sits will incur a fee of €50.00
